The details
The Vankea Modular Dinette Bench Set gives your camper van conversion a complete, ready-to-mount seating base in two coordinated pieces. Instead of heavy fixed benches, both cabinets are built from ultralightweight birch-finish plywood with a Paulownia/magnolia-tree core — a construction Vankea uses to trim as much as 37% off the weight of a conversion, which matters when every kilo counts toward your payload.
Each bench opens from the top: split flap-top lids lift on hinges to reveal spacious under-seat storage, and finger-slot handles keep the lines clean with no protruding hardware. The two modules are designed to do more than store gear, though. The left bench includes a built-in pull-out on telescopic slides for easy-reach items, plus integrated vents and cutouts so it can neatly house van services such as a fresh-water tank, shower box or cooling unit — keeping plumbing and wiring hidden inside the seat. The right bench centralizes your electrical system in a purpose-built battery and inverter bay, complete with its own top, back, support panels and separator, with ventilation cutouts to help keep the gear cool.
Faces are hand-painted in Pastel Sage (Dulux 10GY 71/180) over primer and putty for a smooth, premium cabinetry look, while the carcasses are joined with a cam-and-dowel system for a rigid structure that stands up to life on the road. Sold as a standalone bench set — cushions, tables and appliances not included — it drops into a dinette layout in a camper van of almost any size.
