The details
The Vankea Compact Galley Kitchen Cabinet is a complete, ready-to-install kitchen module built for camper van and van-life conversions. It arrives factory-painted and pre-assembled, so it goes straight into your build with minimal fitting — and because it's a self-contained unit, it works across a wide range of van layouts rather than being locked to a single model.
The carcass is CNC-cut from ~9/16" (15 mm) ultralightweight plywood with a birch finish and a Polownia/magnolia lightweight core, a construction Vankea uses to cut meaningful weight out of the conversion — which directly benefits payload, handling and fuel economy on longer trips. The door and drawer faces are made from heavy MDF in a shaker style and painted in Stormy Sea (DE 5817), giving the unit a clean, premium, custom-cabinetry appearance that holds up to daily van use.
On top sits a genuine ~11/16" (18 mm) solid bamboo worktop with a hinged drop-down side table that extends your prep area when you're parked and folds away flat while driving. A removable countertop cover conceals the pre-cut basin opening when it isn't in use. Inside, storage is handled by a soft-close under-mount drawer, a full side-mount pull-out unit, and an internal shelf, all secured with push-button latches that stay shut on rough roads.
Measuring 56.54" × 19.39" × 36.50", it's sized to be the storage, worktop and structural heart of your galley while leaving room for the rest of your build. It's supplied as a cabinet only — appliances, tap and basin are added by you — making it a flexible foundation you can finish exactly the way you want.
